COMPARISON OF PLYOMETRIC FRONT CONE HOPS AND DROP JUMP ON VOLLEYBALL LEG POWER

Kemampuan melompat vertikal mencerminkan daya eksplosif otot tungkai yang berperan penting dalam teknik dasar bola voli, seperti smash, jumping service, dan blok. Daya ledak vertikal ini menentukan efektivitas serangan maupun pertahanan sehingga memerlukan metode latihan yang mampu merangsang sistem neuromuskular secara optimal. Latihan plyometric menjadi pilihan utama karena melibatkan stretch-shortening cycle (SSC) untuk menghasilkan kontraksi otot yang cepat dan kuat. Dua bentuk latihan plyometric yang umum digunakan adalah front cone hops dan drop jump, dengan pola gerak berbeda namun sama-sama bertujuan meningkatkan power tungkai. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh latihan front cone hops dan drop jump terhadap peningkatan power otot tungkai atlet bola voli. Desain penelitian menggunakan quasi experiment dengan pretest-posttest, melibatkan 16 atlet putra SMA Negeri 1 Sayegan yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelompok front cone hops dan kelompok drop jump. Program latihan berlangsung selama empat minggu dengan frekuensi dua kali per minggu. Pengukuran power dilakukan menggunakan vertical jump test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan dari kedua bentuk latihan terhadap peningkatan power otot tungkai (p<0,05). Perbandingan antar kelompok juga menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (p<0,05), dengan drop jump lebih unggul dalam meningkatkan daya ledak vertikal. Dengan demikian, kedua latihan efektif, namun drop jump lebih direkomendasikan.
