IMPLEMENTASI VISUAL STORYTELLING PADA FILM “THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY” DALAM PENGEMBANGAN PRODUK AUDIO-VISUAL SEBAGAI STRATEGI PEMASARAN DI DESA WISATA DUKUH PAKEL KARANGANYAR

Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi visual storytelling pada film "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" untuk pengembangan produk audio-visual sebagai strategi pemasaran di Desa Wisata Dukuh Pakel. Menggunakan pendekatan semiotika film Christian Metz, penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis elemen-elemen visual storytelling dan mengembangkan model implementasinya dalam konteks promosi desa wisata. Metodologi penelitian dilakukan dalam empat tahap: (1) analisis tekstual film menggunakan teori grande syntagmatique Metz untuk mengidentifikasi kode-kode sinematik dan naratif, (2) ekstraksi prinsip-prinsip visual storytelling yang relevan, (3) perancangan model implementasi, dan (4) pengembangan prototype konsep audio-visual untuk Desa Wisata Dukuh Pakel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" memiliki pola-pola visual storytelling yang efektif dalam membangun narasi perjalanan dan transformasi personal, yang dapat diadaptasi untuk kepentingan promosi destinasi wisata. Model implementasi yang dikembangkan menawarkan kerangka kerja praktis dalam menghasilkan konten audio-visual yang menggabungkan aspek informatif dan emotif. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan strategi pemasaran destinasi wisata berbasis visual storytelling yang lebih efektif dan bermakna.
